Prepositional Phrases

Prepositional phrases start with a preposition and end with the object of a preposition.

Object of a Preposition

The object of a preposition

•must be a noun or a pronoun

•always comes at the end of a prepositional phrase

Example: The books are in the library.

ie, where a thing is in relation to something else.

Once upon a time there was an civil engineer. He like to work in the construction site. He loves rain. During monsoon, he is enthusiastic to work than in summer. On a rainy day , while walking through the 50th floor of a huge building, his legs slipped. He climbed on the rope nearby the scaffolds. Now he is lying between 50th and 49th floor. Since his health was week, hands starts shivering. Slowly his hand loosens from the rope. A teenager among the workers saw it. He ran towards the engineer. But its too late…… tears come from the engineers eyes. The students sitting near to the engineer said “ wake up Mr…… “. Finally the engineer realized that he is dreaming and now sitting inside the class.
