What you are going to see when you enter to a FCE Speaking exam part 2?
a. The first examiner gives Student A a booklet which shows two photographs. b. Student A is asked to talk about similarities and differences between the two
photos. c. The Student A answers a question about the photos – this question appears
on the task sheet in the booklet. d. Student A should talk about similarities and differences between the two
photos. e. Student B listens to her / his partner but doesn’t interrupt. f. When Student A has finished, the examiner asks Student B a short question
about one or both of Student A’s photos. g. The examiner gives Student B their photographs and question.
What will happen in the part 2?
- They will show you 2 photos and you will have to answer to that question in 1 minute. To answer correctly to the question:
I. Compare the photos and answer the question 1min. COMAPARE - Focus on the question, not describe or compare too much. CONTRAST - Look the differences between one photo and other… SPECULATE - after compare say what you are watching.
II. Listen to your partner to not repeat the answer, because the
will ask to the other candidate another question and vice versa in your turn.
Try to answer to the question with a teacher or a person that knows English and talk 1 minute. Have the chronometer in your hand!
