Setting
Grab the reader’s attention
Questions are raised & curiosity is aroused.

Description of Setting Elaborate with a snapshot of the character/ object setting. I t lets the reader experience he’s there.
Answer questions about story- critical character/object/setting.
Show what feelings look, sound, and feel like. Don’t simply ‘tell’.
Purpose
Build Suspense What is the story about? Give hints of what is going to happen. Make the reader wonder & worry along with the main character.

Duration for each piece of work will be given to pupils as a guide.
