Hello from Barcelona, Spain!
Our city, Barcelona
Barcelona is the capital and the most populous city of Catalonia and the second
largest city in Spain.
In Barcelona you can relax on sandy beaches, walk through medieval streets, visit some Gaudi buildings...
… and much more!

The Sagrada Familia
The Sagrada Familia is Barcelona’s most famous landmark. It’s a modernist church (1882), designed by arquitect Antoni
Gaudí. But it’s still far from finished!
Montjuïc Mountain
The Montjuïc is a hill near the centre of Barcelona. There are many attractions there: the Spanish Village, the Montjuïc
Castle and the cable cars.
Agbar Tower
At night, the tower becomes wonderful! It has got 4500 yellow, blue, pink and red lights illuminating the exterior.
La Pedrera building
This apartment building was designed by Antoni Gaudí. The balconies look like waves!
Catalan Music Palace
Catalan Music palace is a concert hall designed by arquitect Muntaner and opened in 1908. It supports Catalan music
and culture in many ways.
La Seu Cathedral
In the centre of the Gothic district is our city’s gothic cathedral, called La Seu. The first stone was laid in the 13th
century.
Ciutadella Park
The Parc de la Ciutadella is Barcelona’s most central park. The park includes a zoo, some museums and the Catalan
Parliament.
The Aquarium
The Barcelona Aquarium is a very popular attraction at Port Vell and it’s considered Europe’s largest aquarium.
Mapfre Tower
This one is a skycraper in the Olympic Port. Mapfre is the name of an insurance company.
Camp Nou Stadium
“Camp Nou” means “New Ground” in English. The stadium is the home of FC Barcelona.
Barcelona Beaches
These golden beaches are only 10 minutes from the city centre. There are 4 main beach areas.
Tibidabo Amusement Park
This amusement park is situated at the top of a mountain called Tibidabo. Built in 1889.
Les Rambles
Les Rambles is a Boulevard full of newspaper kiosks, flower and animal stalls, and all kind of artists.
Plaça de Catalunya
Plaça de Catalunya is a large plaza surrounded by monumental buildings. It’s a very busy square!
