What is the section B?•A piece of writing of 150-250 words where

a student has to express ideas about a provided statement in a well organized way.

 

Critical Argumentative Text

Where is the challenge? 

The statement Some statements can be quite general.

The type of text •Students don’t know how to write a

argumentative text.•They usually write a comment or a

personal opinion.

Word count •The amount of words does not permit a

good development of ideas.•The necessary amount of words to write a

good argumentative text may be different, depending on the language.

Maintaining the concentration •Section B goes after section A, where

students usually give the maximum and they could loose their concentration.

How to prepare students for section B in order for them to succeed? •Everything is in the preparation and in the
