Newsletters Ideas

Here are some ideas for my newsletter title:

I will name my newsletter BIG BANG NEWS because it was the most popular when I asked my target audience, and I think that they liked it because yellow is a catchy and bright colour, and they can relate it to the big ben, the Great Bell at the north of the Palace of Westminster, or with the theory of creation of the universe.

Here are some ideas for colour schemes for my newsletter:

I will go with the first colour scheme because it was the most popular when I asked my target audience.

IDEAS FOR THE ARTICLESMusic:

-I will write the article on 3 columns, because I

want to write about 2 festivals, untold, the biggest electronic music festival in eastern Europe, and about Knotfest, a rock festival in USA.

-On the first column I will write about Untold because lots of people are interested in this festival, which had more than 240,000 spectators last year.

-On the second column I will write about Knotfest, the biggest rock festival, because I think that some of my target audience will be interested in it.

-On the third column I will write about, Tonkplis a new metal band which will release their first album in August 2017, because I think that some teenagers are interested to know the story of a new band.

♠Fashion

-I will include lots of images for clothes that I will be advertising, to show to the audience more choices of clothes.

-On the first column I will write about Slipknot summer collection like hats, shorts t-shirts and hoodies.

-On the last two columns will write about Adidas, Zara and Nike summer clothes like shorts, t-shirts and shoes.

♠Sports

-On the first column I will write about basketball, because it is my favourite sport and it is the second most popular and liked sport after football, often liked by my target audience.

-I will combine the second and third column and I will write about top 3 football teams in 2017, and I will make a prediction for the final of the champion league and I will write about it. Also, I will put a poll about the likely team to win the champions league and when they will press on the link it will lead them to the page of the football club.

HAND DRAWN DESIGN

On the second page of the newsletter I will write about music, on the third one about fashion, because music and fashion on the same side work well together, and on the last

page about sport, because on the newspapers the sports article is on the back and people are used to go to the back to read the sports article, and it is on the front only if it is a very important story.

On the front page, on the left corner I will put the date of the release which will be 1 June 2017 and the price will be 50p, and 2 for 75p, if you want to share it with your friends, and on the middle column there will be a small teaser for the

music

article.

INTERACTIVE FEATURES

-I will add lots of interactive features in my newsletter because nowadays everything is based around digital features. I will include navigation tools like zoom in/out, print, go to next/previous page, and links to social media like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and videos.

Feedback from my classmatesI asked my classmates, which are also my target audience, to give say what is good and what is bad about my advert and this is what they said:

-My planning has good and clear information about the articles that I am going to write about.

-I used good pictures which can be remade for the newsletter article.

-My newsletter’s columns are planned very well.

•Cons

-Not all the pictures and information are for “normal people” and I have to change some of them, but I will write more about “normal clothes” and less about Slipknot’s summer collection.

My feedback had more pros than cons, so I think that it’s quite good, but in the future I will change couple of things such as fashion pictures and information. Most of the article will be for girls and boys clothes for example from Adidas or Zara, and I realized that I will throw away the audience that don’t enjoy rock music and I will make the article to attract everyone.
