MILITARY ACT NOW HISTORY
This briefing was inspired by the information and resources found in the ALLHANDS 2009 CAREER HANDBOOK.
My thoughts on the ALLHANDS Career handbook was that there was a lot of useful information that can help me in my career progression that I was unaware of. It may me wonder what other beneficial information could I find.
All Hands Career Handbook
Career Handbook:
A great reference on Navy programs and career opportunities available to sailors. Topics covered will include Naval programs opportunities such as
Navy college, Commissioning programs, Ombudsman program, and other various programs that may be available to all services members pertaining to career development. This information lays a good foundation to inform sailors of the importance of diversification as it pertains to career progression.

Final Points
Education plays a major role in an overall quality of life after the military. Research shows that veterans leaving the military with a completed education have higher earnings and a better quality of life (U.S. Census Bureau, 2013).
This excerpt by Olivia Crosby and Roger Moncarz (Olivia Crosby, (202) 691-5716, an economist, is managing editor of the OOQ; Roger Moncarz, (202) 691-5694, is a supervisory economist) describes what a college educated person has in comparison to a non-college educated person, “College graduates also tend to have better access to health care, better diet and health practices, more leisure time to enjoy recreational or artistic activities, less dependency on government assistance, are more likely to participate in their communities, and have more self-confidence (Crosby & Moncarz, 2006).
