REFLECTION/S

For algebra lecture related activities

to be honest I really refreshed my mind lastvacation that’s why I didn’t get any answercorrectly on the first few quizzes, my mind reallylacked knowledge about math that time but afterlearning some of the lessons again I was able toremember everything that I’ve learned in highschool. I’m very happy that I was able to bemyself again, I guess all I need is some warm upexercises for my mind. Anyways going back I amvery glad that I was able to answer the rest of thequizzes and test almost perfectly not that I’m thatsmart at algebra

but because I do some practice math exercisesat home when I’m bored. Another is that I amreally aiming to get a high grade as much aspossible that’s why I don’t want to commitmuch mistakes when I’m answering test, I amserious but not that serious.

LESSONS LEARNED

For algebra lecture related activities

I learned to take note of the properties of real numbers because it might be useful in answering math problems. Another is that I learned to always take note of the literal coefficients when answering polynomials and organize them accordingly because It can save a lot of time and I will be able to answer the equations quickly and I don’t need to recheck it because everything is already organized. In addition to that I learned to take advantage of the GCF and the LCD when I’m answering

dissimilar fractions because it would be awaste of my precious time answeringdissimilar fractions directly, withoutmultiplying them with their LCD’s. Anotherwaste of time is using the long method ofdivision of polynomials, it’s very useless andtime consuming I learned to take advantage ofthe synthetic division when trying to get theremainder and the quotient of thepolynomials also I learned to always look

at the first and last term of a trinomialbecause that can tell me if they can befactored of not. And lastly is patience, if I wantto get a high score I solve things withpatience.

DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED

For algebra lecture related activities

to be honest I didn’t encounter muchdifficulties in our algebra lecture class and inour activities because all lessons are explainedvery well and they are summarized, straightto the point, I like things to be summarizedand straight to the point . Another is thatalmost all the test that we have are in multiplechoices, that makes everything a lot easier forme although I did encounter one problem in atest in algebra class that is the graphs I can’tsee it quite clearly, it’s a bit blurry, that makesit hard for me to interpret it.

REFLECTION/S

Algebra laboratory worksheets

I have to admit algebra laboratory class hadtaught me very well and it was challengingbecause there are lots of worksheets for me towork on. The worksheets are fine most ofthem are very easy, some of them are hardbut if I analyze it thoroughly it will turn outeasy. But to be honest I thought there will besomething new in algebra class because this isthe first time that I heard about it. Know Iknow that the laboratory classes is just likeremedial classes.

it’s a bit boring to be honest because we justdiscuss the same lesson again then do someworksheets then that’s it nothing morenothing less.

LESSONS LEARNED

Algebra laboratory

I learned to always encircle or underline myfinal answer to the problem because youknow just in case and so that it would be easyfor them to check my work. Another lessonthat I gained in algebra laboratory class is toalways review the lessons before that classbecause our prof always gives us drills or shorttest before we proceed to the lessons, itwould be a shame if I’m not well prepared. Inaddition to that I learned to always bringsome graphing papers because it would take

me a lot of time drawing a perfectly measured graph that’s why.

DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED

For algebra laboratory

I encountered some problems in our algebralaboratory class one of it is the nature ofroots, at first I thought the nature of roots arethe zeros of the given function, so I answeredto zeros of the function then after that I feltthat there’s something wrong with this. Afterwe checked our worksheets I rememberedthat the nature of roots are those: 2 equalrational roots, 2 equal irrational roots, etc. It’sa shame that I forget about it. Anotherproblem that I have encountered is

the visual aids because sometimes the fonts are too small sometimes a bit blurry because of the projector but our prof finds a way to make the visual aids clear. I also have some difficulties in finding the domain and range of the function/s maybe I just need to refresh my mind that’s all. Anyways I think that’s about all of it.

REFLECTION

For online tasks

I enjoyed working on my online tasks because it’s a lot easier and it provides some tips and hints that I can use to solve things quickly. Another is that I don’t have to waste much papers anymore because I can submit it directly on the site, it’s not that really heavy that’s why I can answer it quickly and submit it days before the due date. Some of the tasks are just reflections and some of the tasks are on khanacademy where I’ll just answer some exercises that’s all.

LEARNING'S GAINED

For online tasks

I’ve learned a lot of things on the online tasksone of them is that I have to be responsible, like for example: submitting the online taskson time or days before the due date. Anotheris that I learned to manage my time onanswering my tasks so that I have enoughtime to work on the other tasks of mine. Inaddition to that I learned to take my time inanswering the online tasks especially when Iwant to get a perfect score, like when I’manswering the online tasks in khanacademy

because having one mistake is already a bigdeal , a big percentage wasted. Also I learnedto use the formulas as my guide, of course Ican create my own formula if I wished to.Using a calculator can also be handy if I’mdealing with large numbers. moreover Ilearned to answer the online tasks incomplete detail because you know just incase. Lastly I learned to be HONEST inanswering the questions.

DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED

For online tasks

to be honest I didn’t encounter muchdifficulties with regards to the online tasksbecause most of the tasks are just reflectionsabout this and that. There’s also not much of aproblem when I’m answering the tasks inkhanacademy most of them were just a pieceof cake, I was able to do most of them withease. The only difficulty that I encounteredwith regards to the online tasks is task 23 thelinear programming it took me more than 24hours to get it because I am not good at

converting a word problem into a equation.Another difficulty that I’ve encountered withregards to that tasks is graphing it, of course Ihave to make perfect squares in an excelspread sheet, that took me hours to get theright row height and column width but therest of the graphing process turned out to beeasy, like plotting the points, connecting them, etc.

MY “NOTE TO SELF”

My mistakes learned

• always equate x and y to 0 to get intercepts or

use slope intercept form when graphing.

• In compound inequalities never forget to fuse

again the equations ex: 4<x<5 not like 4>x and

x<5.

• Don’t spend too much time simplifying

fractions some answers can be in decimal

form.

• These two are different 4+1(2+1) and (4+1)(2+1) (property thing).

• Inequality sign is reversed when Y is negative.

• Exponents are added when terms are multiplied.

• Remember the formula for vertex

• If a>0 that is the minimum point, if a<0 that is the maximum point.

• Nature of roots are different form the zeros

• Diagonal down minus diagonal up.

• Always take note of the inequality sign.

• Always take note of the number sign.

• always check if the answers are right.

• Always simplify fractions where possible

• graph inequalities accurately, its better to graph slowly and surely.

• When answering equations do it one at a time

• Review notes before and after the class , it’s super effective.

That’s about all of it Thanks for everything ma’am
