How grades are calculated in a gradebook?

Select “Weighted Mean of grades”

Max Min Grade range ..

Change the weights according to Syllabus

Make changes and save …

Now time to add Grade Items

Add Grade Item and its range

See that it is added to right category

Keep Turn Editing On

Decide where to put the Assignment on

Add an activity or resource: Assignment Activity

Adding a new assignment

Go to Grade section

Change the Maximum Points from 100 to 60 as this assignment is of 60 points

Check the Grade Category

Choose the right category and Save and Return to Course

Check it on Course Page

Students can access it from here

Return to grade book and go to Gradebook Setup

The assignment added to course can be seen here now

Added another assessment activity

Course and Category Total should be equal to 100

Click ‘Edit’ next to items to make changes
