Audience research

• Most of my responses were from female so I'm planning on creating a magazine that appeals to female.

• My graph has pointed me in direction of which age group of my demographic. As majority of people who took part in my questionnaire has been revealed to be 10 to 20 year olds. I'm going to be constructing a magazine along with this age group.

• The most popular choice was pop music which is influential and considered mainstream of the music industries as they both represent large fan base. However I'm going to be focusing on indie music which is a niche audience.

• This is to see how i would create my format which might turn neat as this result.

• here is a very simple, but at the same time quite an insightful personality test.The shape the audiences choose shows my audiences personality. The circle is a symbol of harmony. they are right-brain thinkers, not logical but creative and more emotionally charged.

• This is another personality test and it is thought we are two of them because of out biology. Helen fisher claims we are two for these and are attracted to partner who are opposite of who we are because they complement us. She tried to explain our relationship choices by our biology in her book ‘ why him? why her?’

• So in my survey I tried to see what majority of my audiences are.

• Majority turned out to be explorers with negotiators and builders in the same score.

• Builders are as it claims are persistent, traditional, like routine and predictability so it would be expected of me to create a magazine that follows all code and conventions and give them what they expect in a music magazine zone. however, I'm rejecting this so my focus is not on builders even though they scored the highest along in response along with negotiator.

• Explorer and negotiators tend to be creative. Especially explorers are risk takers and adventurous which is a good thing because I am willing to take risk with my magazine and break a lot of code and conventions. Maybe something that does this will grab explorer’s attention and make them pick it up. Since explorer and negotiators are slightly similar im focusing on these personality traits.

Audiences profile • Directed aat female, aged 11 to

20, young tenneagers and young adults.

• One of the magazines aimed at niche marketsa re little white lies and pepernint and i will be looking at these magazines.

• My magazine is going to be self publsihing so it would be free.

• My audiences seem to value creativity and something unique so i will make my magazine soemthing that breaks the code and conventions allot.
