History of IPCThe International Publishing Corporation Ltd was formed in 1963 following the merger of the UK's three leading magazine publishers - George Newnes, Odhams Press and Fleetway Publications - who came together with the Mirror Group to form the International Publishing Corporation (IPC).IPC magazines was then created 5 years later. IPC was obtained by Time Warner in 2001 and was renamed Time Inc. UK in 2014 after Time Inc. obtained the company in connection with its spinoff from Time Warner.

■ Masthead – The masthead is the nme logo in the right hand corner. This is so it is the first thing the reader sees so the know what company the magazine is from.

■ Front image – The front image is of the artic monkeys, this will attract fans of the artic monkeys who's fan are based around late teens to early 20s.

■ Colour scheme – The colour scheme writing is red and white, which is the same colour as the logo, this is again to make the company stand out.

■ Barcode – The barcode is in the bottom right corner, this is because its doesn’t need to be seen as it has the price in small print and they don’t want the readers to be put off by the price.

■ Masthead – The masthead is in the middle of the top of the magazine, this is so its seen.

■ Front image – The front image is a close up of Emilia Clarke. This shows it is aimed at women as she is a icon to women.

■ Pull quotes – The pull quotes show how this magazine is based around women we know this by the quotes “waist training, sexy skin” and “style your summer” etc.

■ Colour scheme – the colour scheme is white and pink, this shows again its aimed at women as these colours are seen as girly.
