Album: ‘Be Yourself’ - Rosette The band that i have created consists of 4 people, a singer, drummer, pianist and guitarist. This band is call Rosette which defines diversity. Since all members in this group gave different abilities, they become one and produce great music. Be Yourself follows on from this idea as being different isn’t a bad thing, and to tell the audience that you should take your differences to an advantage as Rosette is a good example of this.

Front CoverThis is the front cover for the album. I decided to use a silhouette of the band, jumping into a sunset background with the album title ‘Be Yourself’ In black to match the dark silhouette. The reason behind the silhouette is because the band’s full identity hasn’t or won’t be released. I decided to keep their identity a mystery, hence the reason the music video is an abstract. I want the audience to appreciate the music that this band makes, only leaving a legacy of their music instead of their image because that’s what music is about. They are jumping ‘into’ the sun during sunset/sunrise to represent them being passionate in their work, from producing good music from day to night. This also represents them jumping into their dreams as they have finally achieved what they have always dreamed of as the sun represents their goal. They are all holding hands to show strength and support within their group.

Inside the pack (left side)As you open the CD, you will find a picture of the band, walking whilst holding their hands. They are holding hands to show that they stick together and will always support each other as a group. As well as them holding hands whilst jumping, the audience would feel inspired by them, to think that a band works together as all members have important roles unlike some bands where the singer takes more of the attention and credit.

Inside the pack (right side), and CDInside the digipak, you will find the CD. I have decided to use 4 hands that look like they’re holding the centre of the circle. These four hands will be the members of Rosette’s hands, and they will be in different colours (red, blue, orange and green). The background of the CD will be gold with text in both sides saying ‘Be’ and ‘Yourself’ which is the album name. The background behind the CD will be all navy blue. I decided to go for a plain background so that it doesn’t clash with the detailed CD.

Back Cover This is the back cover. This will include the song titles (10 songs in a full album) ordered by numbers. On the side there will be a small margin just to make it look organised rather than keeping the songs of the album placed anywhere. . The album title will be at the side of the song titles and at the bottom will be a small-print of the Record Label (MINA Entertainment). In the background, there will be a white-washed picture of the 4 members walking into the distance whilst holding hands (similar picture to the inside-left part of the digipak.

Spine

In the spine of the outside, I will use matching colours of the background of the front cover as the background colour of the spine. In the spine, I will insert text of the band name ‘Rosette’ in the centre.

The spine on the inside will have the album name ‘Be Yourself’ in the same font as the text on the outside spine.
