insight on character’s perspective; used in conversation/confrontations, or alternatively for dramatic
irony.
this shot from ‘Insidious’ with the character unaware of the demon directly behind him creates enormous suspense in the audience as they wait for something to happen - further tension is built because the audience is helpless and cannot tell him to turn around or take action

low angles are usually used in horror to exaggerate a character, usually the antagonist, making them seem more threatening
