To market our film as widely as possible we will utilise as many different forms as media as we can. This will range from tradition forms of marketing such as billboards, posters, magazines and TV adverts to new digital forms like social networks, YouTube and a website. We will focus on using social networks as they are heavily used by our target audience.

Our marketing campaign will feature Snapchat stories for each of our main characters; this is so audiences build a relationship with the characters making them want to see what will happen to them in the film. On Facebook and Twitter we will have pages dedicated to the film to advertise reviews and cinema promotions as well as the release date.

Seems as most of the Uk have iPhone now we have also decided to sell cases with our No vacancy logo on so that we are creating a mass audience.

How are films advertised ?

Films are advertised on various mediums now compared to 10 years ago. They are now advertised by trailers, posters, magazines, newspaper adverts and more. Films can be advertised on posters which are on the side of buses as well as billboards.The most productive way of advertising at the moment is currently through trailers, you have to sell your film to the audience. This is because people prefer to listen rather than have to read a film poster or billboard. If you advertise on mainstream mediums then you will gain mass audiences.

How are we advertising our film ?

To advertise our film we will be using social network sites such as Twitter and Facebook as the majority of our target audience use these websites. As well as this we will be placing our trailer on YouTube, you can place it on YouTube for free which is ideal for our low budget horror film.

We will also advertise our film through Snapchat stories featuring each of the main characters. This synergy helps to build a relationship with the characters, and gets the audience excited for the film.
