Magazine Name Ideas

• The Punisher• Superstars • Respect• Source• Vibe

Learnt that the most popular name to call my magazine would be ‘The Punisher’. I personally prefer this name because it links well with the genre of music and the general style of the magazine.

Target Audience

• The magazine will be aimed at adults between the ages 18 and 25. It will appeal to girls and boys because the content considers the interests of both.

• My target audience will be particularly interested in Rap/Hip Hop music, and also be fascinated by the unknown bounds.

How will it be advertised?• My magazine will be advertised by using public transport such

as buses and TV adverts.• The type of advertising mentioned above will catch the

attention of my target audience and will attract them to buy it.

• I will also be using social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to further publicise the magazine.

USP – Unique Selling Point

• With every issue of my magazine, there will be parts of a code included and if you buy the magazine a particular number of times the code will be ready to use on iTunes and you will have up to £7.00 to spend.

My magazine will be unique because it focuses on the most popular genre of music and particularly Eminem, a mainstream rap artist. This is a good selling point because people who are interested in modern day music will love this magazine. This also means it will stand out from most other music magazines that are out at the moment.

Price

• I will be selling my magazine for approximately around £2.00-£2.50. This is a good price because it is cheap and affordable especially for my target audience.

Page 8: Magazine pitch

Where is it going to be sold?

• My magazine will be sold in all supermarkets (Tesco, Sainsbury etc.) because it increases accessibility.

• I will also be selling my magazines in newsagents, and magazine stands.

• There will be a website for my magazine, and there will be an option to apply for a monthly subscription.

The Main Story

• The main story for my magazine is going to be an interview with a new singer/band. This will be of appeal to my target audience because new music is appealing and it would allow them to keep up to date with the new developments in the music industry! The new singer will also obviously be in the ‘The Punisher’ music genre so the singers style/image will fit in well with the magazine in general.
