lexical field is a set of words with an identifiable semantic connection.

Hyponymy

Hyponymy is relation between a more specific (superordinate) and a less specific (subordinate) term (class – subclass).

Example : Dog is a hyponym of animal Rose is a hyponym of flower

Synonymy

Synonymys are words with identical or similarmeanings.

Ex. :Answer = reply Big = largeBeautiful = pretty

Antonym is Word that is opposite in meaning toanother word.

Example :• good and bad• slow and fast.• hot and cold.

Binary and Non Binary Antonyms• Binary : Here there is no comparison or scale; it

is a matter of being either one thing or another.

Examples :• alive and dead• single and married• Open and close

Non Binary Antonym : These describe something which can be measured and compared with something else.

Example :•Fast and slow•Hot and cold•Old and young

• Synonyms- Rita is a beautiful girl- Rita is a pretty girl • Binary Antoyms- Turn on the radio- Turn off the radio

• Hyponyms- She plants a jasmine- She plants a flower

• Non-binary Antonyms

- He is a young man- He is a old man
