Problem STATEMENT
Lack of College Fair
knowledge and
readiness among middle
school and high school
teens.
Project description● Attend NACAC College Fair on April 30th,
2016
○ Cow Palace (located near DeLue Clubhouse)
● Keystone 650 planned and created a
College Fair Readiness workshop to be
presented prior to attending the NACAC
College Fair
○ Powerpoint Presentation
○ Workshop activity - Meet & Greet!
○ Handouts
○ Swag Bags
Key learningsCollege fairs can be very overwhelming. Here
are some tips to help!
Before the fair:
● Research schools attending
● Create a list of questions to ask colleges
During the fair
● Visit the booths and ask questions to
college reps conversationally
● Attend academic workshops
After the fair
● Recycle schools that’ve been ruled out
● Reflect and discuss schools with others
Community engagement● Presentations were rehearsed
with:
○ Torch Club 650
○ Keystone 650
○ Club staff
● Outreach methods
○ Instagram, Facebook
○ Email blasts
○ Flyering to teens and parents

evaluationBefore and after the workshop presentation, a survey to assess everyone’s knowledge
on college fair readiness was conducted. Here are the results:
