O To promote deeper understanding of the fundamental concepts from different disciplines

O Interdisciplinarity implies an intersection of different subject areas by ignoring strict limits disciplines, is seeking common themes for different subjects with a higher order learning, found within the English “Higher order learning Objectives”

O Metacognitive capabilities such as decision making, problem solving, learning efficiency are some of these targets.

O Through interdisciplinary action is performed open or content of competent interdependent from two or more disciplines, involving interpenetration disciplines.

O Advantages of interdisciplinary learning:O a)Encouraging direct cooperation and exchange among

professionals coming from different disciplines,O b)contributing to the establishment of an open nature of the

research, social practices and school curriculumO c)Focusing on learning training process, the student can develop

more skills as an active participantO d)working on areas of interest, thematic or conceptual learning,

learning based on projects or problems, cooperative learning.O e)Creating mental structures-flexible and integrated

behavioral,with potential transfer and adaptation.
