What is an Interactive Whiteboard? A touch-sensitive display that connects to

your computer and digital projector to show your computer image.

Computer applications can be controlled from the display - write notes in digital ink and save your work to share later.

The Use of IWBs and VELSGrade 2 – from the standards

They use ICT to acquire new knowledge and skills and to create and present information in meaningful ways.

In their learning of new material, students experiment with some simple ICT tools and techniques for v isualising their thinking. They learn to organise and classify information and ideas, and present them in a manner that is meaningful to them.
