The Use of IWBs and VELSGrade 2 – from the standards

They use ICT to acquire new knowledge and skills and to create and present information in meaningful ways.

In their learning of new material, students experiment with some simple ICT tools and techniques for v isualising their thinking. They learn to organise and classify information and ideas, and present them in a manner that is meaningful to them.

The Use of IWBs and VELSGrade 3 – Progressing to standard 3.

ICT for visualising thinking (2.5) logical sequencing of ideas, using concept mapping tools and use of

manipulation techniques retrieval of the v isualis ing thinking files and use of editing techniques to

modify these. For example, deleting and inserting text and shapes to outline relationships.
