Audience For Film 4, their main audience is a range of

15-25. For example for one of their films that they produced which was The Inbetweeners Movie and this movie was aimed towards TV Series fans. In addition, other films that they have produced such as Amy and 12 years a slave, these films are generally aimed towards those who prefer to watch TV over films; using these films as an example, they are informative and one is a documentary.

Linking with this, the primary audience of American honey is 18-24 as it has mature themes, however their aspirational target audience age is those of 15-40 years old. This shows that those who watch films produced from Film 4 cater for those from different backgrounds and different ages.

BBC AUDIENCES The audience for BBC is aimed towards those who enjoy watching

insightful, intelligent films and are often fast paced. Therefore these types of films aim towards a primary audience of an older age. For example in Saving Mr. Banks, Billy Elliot and Lady Macbeth.

However, another type of audience that they attract are still an older audience although it is older type of comedy. Such as Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, Mrs. Browns Boys and Made in Dagenham. In addition to the genre of comedy, Nativity is also another film within BBC films and this is a film aimed towards families and younger children in comparison to an older family.
