AD EXTENSIONS• Ad extensions are a type of ad format that show extra
information about your business.• The majority of these only work on Google Search, but some of
these extensions do work on the Google Display Network. • There is no additional cost to do ad extensions, but if someone
clicks on your ad and goes to your URL (or they call you), then you are charged.
• Ad extensions will improve your ad's visibility.
TYPES OF AD EXTENSIONS• Ad extensions are 9 different types they are:
1. Location extension2. Call extension3. Site link extension4. Call out extension5. Review extension6. Structured snippet extension7. App extensions8. Price extension9. Seller rating extension
1. LOCATION EXTENSION• It is an extension which allows the advertiser to display their
business address along with the Ad.• To add this extension to an ad we need to create “Google my
business listing account”.• It is visible & clickable on all devices.• It is only served to the people who are searching within the
vicinity because motive of the ad is to get foot traffic.
2.CALL EXTENSION• Call extensions allow you to include a phone number in your
standard text Ad• Its visible on all devices but clickable only on mobiles.• Call extension are of 2 types 1.Standard 2.Google forwarding number• Standard: They are no call reports generated but we only get
“Click Reports”.• Google forwarding number: These are available only for 5
countries and generates “Click Reports” & “Call Reports”.
3.SITELINKS EXTENSIONS• Sitelinks are used for promoting more than one landing page
with your Ad and improvise your CTR.• These will appear and clickable on all devices.• Ads on desktops and tablets show anywhere from two to six
links, and ads on mobile will show up to four links.• This is an must extension for any kind of business else Google
will penalize. • No 2 sitelinks should not go to the same webpage including
the Ad.
4.CALL OUT EXTENSIONS
• This extension allows advertiser to write more content along with the text ad.
• This extension is similar to sitelink extensions.• Only 3 Call out extensions will be served.• The text for each callout must be 25 characters.• You can't use the keyword insertion feature within your
callout text.
5. REVIEW EXTENSION• A review extension is the ability to put an quote from a
reputable third-party in your ads. • These have to be approved by Google and may take several
days to be approved.• These are mostly used by branded companies.
6. STRUCTURE SNIPPET EXTENSION
• These ad extensions provide context on the nature and variety of your products and services before visitors click through to your site.
• It is newly edition to AdWords.• It is pre defined extension.• It appears on all devices but not clickable.
7.APP EXTENSIONS
• This is only available on mobile phones and tablets. • If a user clicks on the headline, they will be taken to your
website. If they click on the “Download” they will be taken to the App Store or Google Play, depending on the device, if you create an extension for each app store.
• App extensions allow you to see how many clicks your headline gets compared to the app extension.
8.PRICE EXTENSION• Price extensions can add more value to your Search Network
text ads.• Price extensions appear below your text ad on mobile, and
give you more space to tell people details about what your business offers.
• Currency should be only in dollar($).
9.SELLER RATING EXTENSIONS• Seller ratings allow users to view your business ratings in your
Ad. This is customer-submitted ratings information & system will show automatically.
• Seller ratings can also help you earn more qualified leads and increase your ad performance.
• The seller must have Google Merchant Center account.• There should be minimum 30 unique ratings.
