Providing HOPE to impoverished children, their families and communities

HCW is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit started in 2003 by Floris UMC

Our goal is to transform the lives of impoverished children and their communities through hands-on partnerships that implement solutions and provide programs of excellence.

AFRICAN PROGRAMS, SIERRA LEONE

Child Rescue Centre Started with 40 children in 2000

The CRC develops and transforms poverty-stricken and war-affected children into adults who become strong leaders in their homes, their

communities, and their country of Sierra Leone. • Currently 70 in residential program, 150 in child support program, and 24 in foster care program• 8 youth went to college this year, joining the 13 other student that are currently in university or vocational training programs

76% of the population live below the poverty line of $2 per day

20% of the population has a high school education

Mercy Hospital Established October, 2007 25 bed primary care facility, serves 900 patients a

month Providing the best quality medical care to Bo, Sierra

Leone and the surrounding communities, regardless of ability to pay

Clinical and Community Based Programs: •HIV/AIDS•Malaria•Mobile Prenatal Outreach Care•Nutrition•Tuberculosis (TB)

service providers that operate under one roof to provide individuals and families in need with access to an integrated array of services.
