In the Pauses Between Thought I am thinking of you - Simryn Gill used books as a raw material,
choosing words such as ‘because’, ‘vessel’, ‘always’,
‘jealous’, and ‘lull’, and removing them from the books to
investigate if, and how, words lose or take on meaning when
taken away from their intended structures and contexts
Your tasks…..
• Select three images which inspire you – remember to select from your group.
• Get the images in your book – think about presentation and headings.
• Annotate the images using correct art words and terms.
• Write about the ideas and processes within the pieces – Say which you prefer and why. Explain how the work links to your narrative
THE ABOVE ACTIVITES NEED TO BE COMPLETED OVER THE HALF TERM
• Draw and create a page of images from these pictures you have selected.
• Create a drawing of your narrative in the style of one of the images you have chosen, use colour – evaluate it.
• Develop your final piece further by making improvements - create a second drawing of your narrative. Use colour and a range of materials.
