Freytag’s Pyramid
Plot-Each story has a plot.
-The plot is the order of events in a fictional piece of writing.
-Each fictional, story, movie, or text follows the same sequence of events; Freytag’s Pyramid.

Exposition
A) Exposition: The introduction of the setting, characters, and conflict.
Rising Action
B) Rising Action: Events (usually 3) that lead up to the climax of the story.
ClimaxC) Climax: What we want to know! The highest point of suspense in the story.
Falling Action
D) Falling Action: Ending of the conflict. Events that lead up to the resolution (or dénouement).
Dénouement (Resolution)
E) Resolution: The ending of the story. Events are resolved. A solution.
