Exposition

A) Exposition: The introduction of the setting, characters, and conflict.

Rising Action

B) Rising Action: Events (usually 3) that lead up to the climax of the story.

ClimaxC) Climax: What we want to know! The highest point of suspense in the story.

Falling Action

D) Falling Action: Ending of the conflict. Events that lead up to the resolution (or dénouement).
