TASK 3Decide what genre your film will belong to and explain the reasons for your choice..

For our film my group has decided to make a film that is of the Horror genre. This is

because we know the codes and conventions of this genre

best and most of our initial ideas were linked to the Horror genre. We will be able to use

locations such as the local woods to film our scenes and already know people who can portray the characters well as

they do drama.

TASK 4Create a mood-board of images of film posters of films that are of the same genre as your own.

Page 6: Film tasks slide share

TASK 5Discuss 3 films from your mood-board that you know will definitely inspire your own film.You should discuss:• Storyline• Characters• Setting• Costume / Props• Music• Technical areas

Example: The Blair Witch Project will inspire my own film because the storyline is based on a character being followed which our own film will do too. Also I like the use of a forest as a setting and intend to use the same setting for my own film. I will also use hand-held camera work as it creates a sense of drama and creepy music for the same reason.
