WHAT KIND OF MEDIA MIGHT DISTRIBUTE YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT AND WHY?

When it comes to selling the magazine big chain supermarkets and small corner shops would sell it. This is because the magazine would need to have a high availability and these two types of shops would be able to provide that. Furthermore shops such as the co-operative, Spar, Asda and Tesco are all large distributers of magazines already so they would be completely able to distribute ‘The Record’ with no problem. The distribution of these products by big companies such as these will mean that the product would be able to reach a wider market and which would mean wider recognition for ‘The Record’.

As social media is a huge part of modern society and websites such as Instagram, twitter and Facebook would be perfect to feature my magazine as they are easily accessible and available to nearly everyone. This would mean that the mass market would be able to view my product and more people would become aware of my brand creating a bigger awareness.

One company that may be able to sponsor my magazine is BBC Radio. This is because BBC radio tend to have a more urban and indie music playing on their channels in comparison to music channels such as Kiss FM or Capital FM. This sponsorship would create a great platform for musicians to interview for my magazine and would create great brand awareness. BBC Radio would sponsor my product as they are often encouraging new and upcoming artists to perform on their channels such as Radio 1 Xtra. By sponsoring the product it would be a great way for them to support the artists further and get them better recognised.
