RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
i) To indentify the tendency of ESL students to code-mixing in daily conversation
ii) To determine the ESL students’ preferences for code mixing in their daily conversation
iii) To examine the ESL students’ reaction towards code mixing in conversation
RESEARCH QUESTIONS
i) What influences the tendency of ESL students to code mix in their daily conversation?
ii) What are the ESL students’ preferences for code mixing in their daily conversation?
iii) How do ESL students react to code mixing in conversation?
INSTRUMENTATIONS• Questionnaire• A set of a simple questionnaire were given to three (3)
respondents
• Unstructured interview• Simple questions regarding code mixing were asked to the
respondents
SAMPLES• 5 respondents involved in answering the questionnaire• One respondent involved in Unstructured interview• The interview was recorded
