● What choices have I given my students lately? ● Which students would benefit from one of these activities? ● How do I use technology in the classroom for student

centered learning? ● What are my expectations for this workshop? ● What do I need more support with? ● What can I use for my students now? ● What specific tool would I like to investigate for deeper

Questions to keep us thinking...

As educators, the first step to enhancing digital and web literacy in the classroom is to improve these

skills in ourselves. Digital technology is not new for our students. They are growing up in a world in

which technology is ubiquitous. However, many of them don’t know how to utilize these digital tools to

complement and strengthen their learning.

Digital tools have made learning more accessible, more interactive, and more collaborative. This is

especially true for cloud-based learning (or learning on the internet). No matter what subject you

teach, it is important to educate your students on how to think critically and evaluate online

resources; use a variety of technologies to access the information they need; understand how to

protect themselves from online threats, including bullies and scammers; to think before they share;

and to be good digital citizens.
