Classification

 So far in class we have practiced classifying various things.  First we used a decision tree to separate things using their traits or characteristics. Then we used the decision tree, to create a dichotomous key.

1. Study the pictures of the     macroinvertebrates on the following     slides.2. Note characteristics like: number of legs,    number of "toes", gills, tails, "eyes",     head, "fan-like" body parts.3. Do not use characteristics like color or     size.  They're just not reliable.
