DESCRIPTION

Castor is an oilseed plant which is earning attention on researchers in recent days. Because of this, the gemplasms of ancient varieties were now recovered and grown in trial fields for getting genetically superior variety. As a result, in Castor and Tapioca research station there a variety named YRCH (Yethapur Ricinus Communis Hybrid) with all desired traits which are essential for a plant both phenotypically and genetically was developed.

different germplasms which including 20 FC5 plants and YRCH plant also.

Future Utility• Castor database has all the biometric characters of

currently available germplasms. It’ll serve as a record for germplasms.• In future yield characters are about to be added.
