Introduction The client wants the Production Arts team to put on a Contemporary Dance Show where

the venue is being held at Arley Hall & Gardens on Wednesday 12th and Thursday

13th February 2014. The Show is created from the work by A’ Level Dancers here at Priestley, where there will be

an audience of 100 people (over 2 nights)The watching concept of the show is that

there will be 2 rooms where the dancers will be performing in the Gallery and Drawing room. 50 members of the public will be

watching in one room as well as a another 50 members of the public will be in the next room watching the other performers and

when its time for the interval they will swap round places.

How the running order works.

It is based in to large rooms (Gallery and Drawing room) 50 members will be situated in each room. Each Performer and group will perform there dance piece.At the interval you will be able to have a glass of wine and then you will enter the next room for the second half.

My Specific Job RoleThe job role I have chosen to do is a Lighting Technician where ill be rigging lights on to booms, making sure all lights are working, checking if any maintenance is needed and then channelling all lights into the lighting desk. I will also be ensuring all cables leading to the desk are covered will gaffer tape just for health and safety reasons. Colouring, focusing and plotting is also required whether its inserting Gels or using DMX cables to plug into the back of the LED’s so you are able to manually change the colours from the desk.

My Manager.My ASM is JPS and the Technical manager is Jordan Simpson, I was associated in the Gallery and then set up all the lights on the booms.
