“HOPE FOR CHILDREN: HELPING DISABLED CHILDREN IN KYRGYZ-GERMAN CENTRE”

HOPE (“UMUT”)DISABLED CHILDREN’S CENTRE OF REHABILITATION

I organized a folk concert for children. Children were interested in komuz and other national instruments. I explained them it’s history. I was happy that they liked and enjoyed the concert very much.

In my community, there are disabled Children who cannot move and some of them cannot talk. They need peoples care and love. They need moral and

material help.

The goal of my GYSD project is to help children learn basic English skills. After my project, I hope these children will know basic English words and songs.

To achieve my soul I will organize a group of children from my school to gather of Saturdays and so to the rehabilitation centre. We will help the children go for a walk, read them fairy tales and teach them English letters and songs with a help of different activities and pictures. Children will enjoy to have fun of learning basic.

Plan:1. Recently, I have been to the rehabilitation centre and spent the whole day there. I organized a small

concert for them and played in Kyrgyz national musical instruments “komuz” and “ooz komuz”. I could notice that they need more care and help.

2. So I will organize a group of at least 5 of my friends to help me to implement this project. We will make a poster and give on announcement in our school newsletter to support the disabled children. After our announcements, I hope people will give used books, toys and clothes for children.

3. I will arrange the meeting with children on 21 April. Our group will go to the rehabilitation centre and deliver our donations. We will also take sweets for them and spend them walking outside with them, singings songs and reading books.

Resources:1. We will need flips charts and markers to make the posters to advertise our activities. We will need our

teachers help with these resources. 2. We will need a place to collect the donations. We will make a request to the school Administration for

a large box and place to keep donations for several days.3. We will also need plastic bags to put all these staff, also soap and washing powder to wash the clothes

and toy. We will ask our mothers to help us wash them at home.

After my GYSD event, I expert that the children will have smiley faces and have hope for the future. I hope we can motivate them to spend their time learning English and to love books.

Children’s who are involved in this project will learn to take care of the people who need help and support. It can help them to be leaders and active members of their community.
