Our Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) Assessment project seeks to improve program effectiveness and teacher education practices based on the National Association for Sport and Physical Education Standards for Beginning Physical Education Teachers.

While other colleges said it wasn’t possible because I didn’t have a teaching certificate or a traditional undergraduate degree, Georgia State’s professors were flexible and worked with me to prepare for the master’s program.
After earning the M.Ed. degree, I enrolled in the Ph.D. program because I wanted to become an expert in assessment practices at the elementary level.
I’ve had several nominations for teacher of year, but, the greatest achievement is helping troubled students turn their life around.
As an international student from Singapore, I chose to attend Georgia State because the faculty are experts in the field of kinesiology and physical education.
