He is a famous English and

Visayan story primarily fiction

in verse.He is a professor of Ateneo de

Davao University.His famous works were Balyan,

Nanking store ang Ang Bata Na Dili

Matulog.He also received several awards like the well-known Palaca

awards.

One day there was a kid named Tua Poya who was jumping and romping on the pristine matrimonial bed of the couple after their wedding. He would learn later that it was to ensure that their first-born would be a boy. He was chosen to do the honor because he was robust and fat.

At first, they were happy as a couple. They

even go to school to fetch Tou Poya after

his nursery school.

much laughter in the house. It

was this happy image that

played in his mind about

Peter and Linda for a long

time.

At the New Canton Barbershop he learned the real reason why Linda left Bajada house. He was told by his mother to fetch his father and he heard that Peter was being teased to have son. Peter cannot produced a son as what people said to him.

in-laws. Peter

when it was a

herself.

Then Peter died in a car accident in the Buhangin Diversion Road. He was returning from Mandug and a truck rammed his car, killing him instantly.

After all those happenings, Linda will be having a child. She is pregnant and the father of the baby is their driver named Oliver.

Oliver went on leave to visit his parents in Iligan City. And Linda decided to follow him there. She bid goodbye to the people in the Santa Ana.

In the early days when the world was new, spirits and ghosts lurked everywhere. They lived in gloomy caves, they hid in anthills and tree trunks they frolicked in nooks and corners under the houses. In the dark, sometimes their tiny voices could be heard dimly, or their ghostly presence be felt. But they were never seen

Sag-in is a young man spirit, he is handsome and bold. He always follow Raya.

The girl was never afraid of spirits, who is Raya. One night she was wondering in forest alone. Then she felt that there was someone who is following her.

As time pass by the two get closer and closer and fell in love and they got married happily

And Raya bore a child later on.

But in there happy life there was a heartbreaking moment happened. Sag-in made a confession to Raya, he told Raya that he is a spirit and he need to go back in where he truly lived.

“Yes, Raya, it is my heart. I have 

reappeared to show you that I will 

never forsake  you and our child. Take 

care of this plant, and it will take care of 

you in return. It’s trunk and leaves will 

give you shelter and clothing. The heart 

and fruits will be your food. And when 

you sleep at night, I will stand and 

watch by your window. I will stay by 

your side forever!”

Magayon grew up to be sweet and beautiful

that her beauty was a

talk in different tribes.

Magayon’s father was the Chief

Makusog of Rawis tribe,

while her mother Dawani died during giving

birth.

Magayon fell inlove with Ulap, son of

Chief Karilaya from Katagalugan

Pagtuga, a hunter who

Admires Magayon so much heard

about the two getting married.

Pagtuga trapped Chief Makusog

and ask Magayon To marry him in exchange

with his father’s life.

Ulap with his men fought

with Pagtuga and killed him.

By great happiness,Magayon ran towards Ulap but an arrow hit

her dead.

Ulap was then stabbedat the back by Linog, and Linog was killed

by chief Makusog

Magayon together,

the grave grewand grew

until it becamea volcano and

was then called MAYON
