The art of astral projection is ancient in the same way as yoga or meditation and deserves respect.
It is known by many different names and types. There are also various ways to accomplish astral
projection.
The initial level of astral projection is lucid dreaming. This type of dreaming is dreaming
consciously and is known as the first phase of astral projection. By telling yourself 'I am dreaming',

as though you actually experienced it. This indicates you had an astral projection.
The ability to astral project starts with believing that you can do this. Everyone can astral project

mind and body for astral projection and all it takes is practice and time through meditating

Now is the point where you need to reach an altered state of consciousness. You need to focus
not only on your breathing but the way you are breathing.
You'll feel your breathing become slower and deeper still. Concentrate completely on relaxing your
body more and more.
Work your way up from toes to head, relaxing each part of your body as you go. There are two
ways that you can do this. You can visualize each part of your body relaxing as you go, telling
yourself they are relaxing as you do so. You can also tense, then release each part of your body,
feeling this tension leaving your body as you exhale.
At this point, you will start to feel heavy almost as if energy is leaving your body. As you get to this
point, and you are completely relaxed, you will know that it is time to move on to the next step of
astral projection.
At this point, you are completely ready and prepared for sleep, but it is important to stay alert
during this time. Many practicing projectors come up with a phrase such as 'I can fly, I can fly'
there is no wrong phrase, so you can come up with your own.
When are minds are unoccupied, they tend to wander this can spoil your concentration, making it
impossible to astral project. Stay on track by repeating your phrase.
Repeating this phrase can help you to attain the altered state of consciousness which you need to
astral project. Another way to reach this state is to use the 'body of light' technique, which involves
visualizing yourself transforming into a body of light.
There are a few sings to be aware of that you are successfully starting to astral project. You'll feel
like you are moving while your body stays in place. You'll start to see colors and lights, even with
your eyes closed.
Last, it is said that you will hear voices that will tell you to stop or encourage you to keep going.
This state lets you know that you have achieved astral projection.
