The trip to the Aran Islands.
The Leprechaum shows Scallop and Mussel the Aran Islands before the
wedding.
They take a ferry to Inismore.
They are approaching the Island
There are some boats at the harbour.
They walk round the Island
• There are many stone walls with holes around the island.
• That´s right . The holes let the sheep cross the stone walls and move freely round the island.
• That´s a good idea!
There are some seals by the sea
They pass by The Seven Churches
• What´s that?• The Seven Churches,
an old monastery.• What´s its name in
Gaelic?• “ Na Seacht d
´Teampail”• I won´t forget it.• Neither will I.
The Leprechaum shows them his house.
They visit fort Dun Aengus.
Dun Aengus is a prehistoric site located at the edge of the Atlantic sea cliffs.
• Why was it built?• It is believed that it was
built to demonstrate the islands´power when you see it from the sea.
• Has ever been inhabitated?
• Yes, it was occasionally been inhabitated around the 800BC.
• How interesting!
The Cliffs are so high and so dangerous here.
They carefully lie down by the edge of the cliff.
Let´s take a picture of the cliffs before going to the wedding!
At the wedding!
• We´ve enjoyed the dinner at the wedding.
• We had salad for starter and salmon fish cakes for the main dish and Irish apple pie for dessert.
• Everything was delicious.
They danced Irish dances
• We danced all night after the dinner.
• We learnt how to dance Irish dances and we learnt some Irish words.It was great gas!
• We flied to Dublin the following day.
