What Colleges are Looking forTesting: Highest ACT or SAT scoreRecommendations: Both should be from

academic teachers who know you will and can address your particular strengths and qualities.

Extra-curriculars: In-school and out-of-school activities

Essay: How are you unique? Are there any special circumstances they should know about? Why should they choose you?

Transcript: Colleges look at how challenging your courses have been and how you’ve done in them. They also look for continuity in course work.

Topic A: Tell us about someone who has made an impact on your life and explain how this person is important to you.

Topic B: Choose an issue of importance to you and explain the significance of that issue to yourself, your family, your community, or your generation. Can be personal, school related, local, political, or international.

Topic C: Write an essay describing any additional information that you would like us to also consider in your application. This can include hardships, challenges, or opportunities that have shaped or impacted your abilities or academic credentials, personal responsibilities, exceptional achievements or talents, educational goals, or ways in which you might contribute to an institution committed to creating a diverse learning environment.
