In what ways does my media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products My media product is fairly similar and different to that of real media products. It shows some techniques that directors and producers use in 2015 but also has differences at the same time. In my final media product it has got a few similarities to that of expendables 3. In both of the films they are fast paced and the actors are speaking aggressively this is one of the films that I used in my initial research to see what I needed to include and it helped me to make the actors seem aggressive and make the whole thing fast paced. Also in the expendables it is clear to see which sides the individual actors are on, there’s the expendables team and then the bad guys who are on the train. I tried to mirror this in my finished product without the large budget. I showed that Max and Tom were working together to catch Ed (the bad guy). However there are differences in both of the opening 2 minutes. Firstly in my finished media product I have a lot of foot chase scenes but in the expendables there isn’t much chasing on foot it’s in a helicopter and in a train, I think this is, mainly because of the 100% larger budget but it’s still a difference. Furthermore in the expendables the actors are dressed for the situation well, in army gear almost whereas my actors were in jeans and jumpers, this is because of the fact that I wanted my opening to seem like the people in it were thuggish and quite relaxed. Overall in real media products compared to most amateur filmmaker films there are similarities and differences. I compared my film opening to that of the expendables and there were similarities and differences.

In what ways does my media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products

My media product is fairly similar and different to that of real media products.

I tried to mirror this in my finished product without the large budget. I showed that Max and Tom were working together to catch Ed (the bad guy).
