Introduction• The Barangay as the basic political unit is mandated under Section 384 of the Local Code “as the primary planning and implementing unit of government policies, plans, programs, projects and activities in the community.”

• According to the Art. 405 (e) of the Local Government Code (LGC) which provides that “Local government budgets shall operationalize approved local development plans.”

• The Punong Barangay is responsible for the execution of barangay budget. •PB ensures that funds are disbursed in accordance with the appropriation ordinance and reviewed annual budget.• Financial transaction follows accounting and auditing rules.

• No money shall be paid out of the barangay treasury except in the pursuance of an appropriation ordinance/law.• Barangay funds shall be spent solely for public purposes•Fiscal responsibility shall be shared by all barangay officials exercising authority over financial affairs, transactions, and operations of the barangay.

Provide street lights in all parks and roads. Prohibit all forms of illegal gambling.
