About Kwader

A wireless LAN or WLAN is a wireless local area network that uses radio waves as its carrier.
The last link with the users is wireless, to give a network connection to all users in a building or campus.
The backbone network usually uses cables
Wireless Communication
3
Why Wireless Communication
Freedom from wires.
No bunch of wires running from here and there. “Auto Magical” instantaneous communication without physical
connection setup e.g.- Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. Global coverage Communication can reach where wiring is infeasible or
costly E.g.- rural areas, buildings, battlefield, outer space.
Stay connected, flexibility to connect multiple devices.

The point-to-point wireless topology (also called P2P) is the simplest network architecture you can set up in order
to connect two locations using a wireless radio link

Ubiquiti provide a wide range of Point-to-Point wireless networking solutions.
These products include the
Ubiquiti Air Fiber
Ubiquiti Air Max power bridge & Nano stations
AirMax rocket & rocket titanium
Ubiquiti tough Cable and more.
Ubiquiti's Interfered and AirMax (MIMO TDMA Protocol) technologies are designed to create a simple, yet extremely
powerful and robust wireless unit, capable of 100+Mbps real Point-to-Point throughput up to a 30km+ range.
The AirOS operating system is an intuative and versatile firmware technology that resides on Ubiquiti Station products
that requires no training to operate.

Point to Multi Point Solution
Point-to-multipoint communication is communication which is
accomplished via a distinct type of one-to-many connection,
providing multiple paths from a single location to multiple
location.

Point to Multi Point Solution from Ubiquiti
Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) links are used routinely to serve up to 100 locations from a single Access Point (thanks to
Ubiquiti's airMax technology).
There are many approaches to providing PtMP services. This example is the simplest, using a single Ubiquiti radio
with an omnidirectional antenna to create a bridged network. Even a simple IP addressing schema is included!
Clearly, a more complex approach is often desired; one that uses multiple Ubiquiti radios with sector antennas along
with a fully routed (rather than bridged) configuration. That however, is not this article. Most new users will benefit by
starting with this simplified approach to become familiar with PtMP or to serve a smaller, limited area.

Wifi
Wi-Fi or WiFi is a technology for wireless local area networking with devices based on the IEE 802.11 standards.
WI-Fi is a trademark of the Wi-Fi Alliance, which restricts the use of the term Wi-Fi Certified to products that
successfully complete interoperability certification testing
