Anotherpotentialproblemariseswhenacontributorcopiesorcloselyparaphrasesabiasedsourceeitherpurposefullyorwithoutunderstandingthebias.Thiscanmakethearticleappeartodirectlyespousethebiasofthesource,whichviolatesourneutralpointofviewpolicy.

Closeparaphrasingisalsopermittedwhenthereareonlyalimitednumberofwaystosaythesamething.Thismaybethecasewhenthereisnoreasonablewaytoavoidusingtitlesandtechnicalterm,andmayalsobethecasewithsimplestatementsoffact.



Itisacceptabletouseatitleortechnicaltermsuchas"TheWaroftheSpanishSuccession"or"RelationalDatabaseManagementSystem(RDBMS)"whenthetermiscommonlyusedbysourcesthatdiscussthesubject.Copyrightlawdoesnotprotectnames,titles,orshortphrasesorexpressions.[4]
