LeanCamp is about learning opportunities. Learning
...
@leancamp
... learning from each other (that’s why
there are no invited speakers)
@leancamp
... learning from other methodologies
@leancamp
... learning from other industries
@leancamp
Leancamp is not only about Lean Startup.
It’s about learnings for the future of entrepreneurship.
@leancamp
We do not learn by waiting until thought-leaders write books ...
... but from other people and other methodologies.
@leancamp
This is an actionable and open conversation, with learnings you
can apply tomorrow.
@leancamp
How are we learning at LeanCamp?
@leancamp
This is an un-conference. There is no set agenda.
Agenda by participants for participants.
@leancamp
@leancamp
This is an inclusive event: everyone is welcome to contribute, everyone is welcome to take part
Sessions and Formats
@leancamp
• each session is 45min.,• each session has clear lerning goals,• there is a 15min break in between sessions,• each session states clear the level of
proficiency it addresses.
Standardized session sheet to be used during the sessions planning
@leancamp
Ask an expert• One person hosts the session.• Not necessarily the only speaker

Idea storm• Great for brainstorming (eg: what are the possible uses of
Product X?)• Ask a question find possible answers from the participants

Fishbowl Discussion• Great for focused discussions• Four to five chairs are arranged on stage (the fishbowl). • One chair is always empty• The moderator introduces the topic• The participants start discussing the topic.• Only the people in the fishbowl talk.• Any member of the audience can occupy the empty chair.• When this happens, someone must voluntarily leave.• The discussion continues with participants entering and
leaving.

Group Advice• Take up to 5 minutes to explain your challenge. • Pick something specific, and if possible, load up
artifacts and examples on the projector. • It’s great if you can show things like prototypes,
screens, the actual product or your metrics dashboard if necessary.
• Afterwards, open it up as a Fishbowl, but keep the focus on advising you.
• It’s your challenge, so you can steer the discussion to what’s helpful to you.

@leancamp
Open Interview• Like the fishbowl• But one person being interviewed who
stays.• Everyone else can become the interviewer. • Join the fishbowl to ask a question

Show and Tell• Done something you want to share? • Or maybe you want to show
something and get feedback? • Walk us through it. It’s helpful to
share what worked and what didn’t.• Consider opening up for feedback or
discussion afterwards. • 10 minutes of show and tell followed
by 20 minutes of Post Up or Fishbowl is a great combination.

Tag Team• Multiple perspectives are always helpful to find a
solution. • As the host you’ll ask questions pertaining to your
startup. Try to frame the challenge, then ask “how to” questions.
• Invite your experts to the side of the stage. • You can use your questions, or invite the audience to
post their questions on the #leancamp hashtag on Twitter.
• Pick one expert and give them the stage. • Ask your first question, then the experts have up to 8
minutes for their response. • Experts can “tag in” by putting their hand out. and the
expert on stage gives them the stage by tagging them.• Experts can add to the first response, or contradict it!
Workshop (if possible)
• Let everyone roll up their sleeves and show them how to do something!
