Task: Fill in the World map according to the criteria below Include a title Create a Legend with at least five different symbols (water, mountains, borders, etc….) Draw a Compass Rose Identify, draw and label the Equator (latitude) with its degree Identify and label the Prime Meridian (longitude) with its degree Identify and label the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn with the degrees Identify (dotted lines perhaps) and label all four Hemispheres

Criteria: Start by filling in with pencil – finish with fine tip sharpie Correct spelling is a must All water bodies in BLUE All mountain ranges in BROWN All continents lightly shaded a different colour and or pattern ex: Neatest printing

Also: Choose and locate three places in the world that are significant to you. Example: Victoria, BC (where I live now), Nuremberg, Germany… Place them on the map and, on a separate piece of paper, write two-four sentences explaining why they are significant. Hint: You may want to consider using a star or other icon to identify the places – and then use that in your legend!
