wear it at all times during your volunteer shift.

- 17:00 at the Warwick Academy Auditorium. If you cannot collect your uniform on that
day, you can collect it from the Volunteer tent at the entrance of Queen Elizabeth Park
on Queen Street, Hamilton anytime from Thursday, April 25th to race day, Saturday

safety and the safety of others.

yourself from the situation and notify your Sector Head immediately.
Athlete Safety
Athletes must not accept assistance during the race.
In volunteer training, Course Marshals will be specifically instructed by their Sector Head
what to do in the case of an emergency. A well-meaning Course Marshal could uninten-
tionally disqualify an athlete from the race, so this is important instruction.
Call the Incident Hotline immediately if you see an athlete down and suspect that they
may need help, even before they request it. This will alert the Venue Command Centre to
be on standby, should assistance be required. The hotline will be provied to you – Please
put the number in your cell phone.
Lost & Found
Will be at Pier 6 on Front Street.
Meals
Breakfast or lunch will be provided for volunteers working a 6-hour shift. Meals are pro-
vided as you check-in for your shift. If you have allergies or food sensitivities, please email
Keeping Hydrated
It is important that all volunteers keep hydrated throughout the day. We recommend
that Course Marshals drink plenty of water all day Saturday, April 27th, to properly hyd-
rate your body. Please bring a full water bottle to sip on through your shift. You may wish
to bring a second bottle with you, as there is no refill facility while marshaling the course.

Weather Protection
It is important that you protect yourself from the elements. Volunteers are encouraged
to wear a hat and apply plenty of sunscreen at regular intervals. If in the unfortunate
circumstance of wet weather, please wear waterproofs and bring an umbrella. The race
goes on rain, blow and shine. If the athletes can do it, so can we. We’ll be brave and
show our support in all weather.

There are several public restrooms in the City of Hamilton – Albuoy’s Point, #1 car park
in front of Transition Zone and in the pink building next to the Hamilton Docks. The MS
