In April 2015, the SBM will hosts its 36th Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions of the SBM at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter. The four-day conference will highlight the theme Advancing the National Prevention Strategy through Behavioral Medicine Innovation, along with conceptual guidance from the National Prevention Strategy Framework outlined by the National Prevention Council.
Conclusion
Within the framework, there are four strategic channels to improve population health, including creating health community environments, offering accessible clinical preventative services, and eliminating health disparities. Speakers at the 2015 meeting will focus on areas that align with SBM’s membership interests, such as preventing drug abuse and promoting mental emotional health.
