Federaleffortstoinvestinournation’sagingbuilding,transportation,energy,andwaterinfrastructureisvitaltothecountry,theeconomy,andthebuildingindustry.Recentstudieshavedemonstratedthatevery$1billioninvestedinnonresidentialconstructionwouldadd$3.4billiontogrossdomesticproduct(GDP),add$1.1billiontopersonalearnings,andcreateorsustain28,500jobs.Thisbriefingwillfocus
onthecriticalrolebuildingsplayinournation’sinfrastructure.Itwillexamineopportunitiestoincorporatehighperformancesystemsintobuildingsandtoretrofitolderbuildingswiththesesystems
intoinfrastructureproposalthatCongresswillconsider.
