Operatorsofasugarmillwereexperiencingcombustion-relatedissueswiththeirbagasse-firedboiler.Theissueswerehavinganegativeimpactonboilerreliability.

HRLpersonnelundertookanin-depthassessmentofcombustiontoidentifytheunderlyingissues.TheHRLteamwasabletoprovidetheclientwithdetailedrecommendationsonhowtomitigatethecombustionissues.

HRL personnelundertookrigorousanalysisandcharacterisationofthewastematerial.Theteamthenundertookin-depthboilermodellingtoevaluatespecificco-firingscenariosusingthewastematerialandcurrentfueltoquantifythenewfuel’spotentialperformanceintheexistingboiler.
