INTRODUCTION
“Apollo Hospitals” is the largest healthcare group in Asia. Owns & manages 41 hospitals in and around India and has a
total capacity of around 8000 beds.
Founded by Dr. Prathap C Reddy in 1979 and is the first group of hospitals that pioneered the concept of corporate healthcare delivery in India.

Consultant doctors operated on fee-for-service basis. They paid Apollo rent for the rooms in which they saw patients but kept the fees received from the patients.
