Safe and cost-effetive design and operation of floating production systems offshore Brazil

July 6th, 2012Windsor Barra Hotel

Rooms Queluz I and II, on first lower level (SS 1)

at Avenida Lúcio Costa, 2630 - Barra da Tijuca - Rio de Janeiro

SeminarMARINTEK do Brasil has the pleasure to invite you for a seminar addressing important topics to successfully enable the development of oil and gas floating production systems in deep waters offshore Brazil.

The seminar will be organized in two parallel sessions:

Session 1: Stress and fatigue analysis of flexible risers and umbilicalsSession 2: Future paths within deep-water offshore hydrodynamics

Highlights for each of the sessions are given below. For a more detailed agenda, see next page.

MARINTEK do Brasil is situated at Torre do Rio Sul, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro

Invitation to seminar

Session 1 :

Stress and fatigue analysis of flexible risers and umbilicals

The presentations will include:▪ Selection of environmental loads▪ Global response analysis▪ Local stress analysis▪ Fatigue analysis▪ Requalification▪ Topics for future research

Session 2:

Future paths within deep-water offshore hydrodynamics

The presentations will include :▪ Ocean environment (Deep-water currents;

bidirectional waves)▪ VIV▪ Complex hydrodynamics: New code develop-

ment▪ Deep-water marine operations▪ Wave impact and green water

Limited places. Please, confirm your participation to [email protected]

Pre-salt fields are located in deep water, in places featuring rugged and irregular sea-

bed and exposed to harsher environmental loads, such as steep waves, bi-directional sea states and current profiles changing

with depth and time. Under these conditions, precise models and simulation tools are

required for safe and cost-effective design and operation of floating production systems
