This week the children of Casa del Niño

welcomed a new child to their family!

Update # 2.

RIVER POLLUTIONThe children of Casa del Niño proved their attention

to the biodiversity and recycling workshops they have attended by identifying a collection of tires discarded

in the river where they wash their clothes as ‘pollutants to their river’.

So The children collected them and took them to their house to be used in the construction of their playground!

Workshop

at San Isidro School.The children from Casa del Niño helped give a presentation to a local school to ask them for help in creating eco-ladrillos. They showed videos and gave practical demonstrations of ‘recycling and reusing’.

Update # 2.

The first of many biodiversity themed

murals….Jose, Cesar and Harvy

designed and painted a mural for the storehouse at the front of the Casa del Niño: Jose chose a sun,

Harvy chose the national tree, the ceiba, and Cesar chose the national bird, the quetzal.

Entirely designed

and painted by the

children.
